Angle Seat Valve

An angle seat valve is a quarter-turn valve actuated by a single-acting or double-acting pneumatic actuator. The piston drives the valve stem, causing the valve plug (usually conical or spherical) to quickly press against or lift away from the valve seat, thereby achieving instant opening or tight shut-off of gas pipelines.

Its special right-angle flow path design optimizes spatial layout and creates a certain self-cleaning effect.

Product description

Main Features

· Fast opening and closing: Driven by a pneumatic piston, it features fast operation (usually less than 1 second), suitable for applications requiring frequent and rapid switching.
· Low flow resistance: The valve body has a right-angle flow passage with a 90° change in medium flow direction, resulting in lower flow resistance and pressure drop compared with globe valves.
· Reliable sealing: Adopts single-sided sealing. The valve plug (usually conical or spherical) is pressed tightly against the valve seat under cylinder pressure, delivering good sealing performance and low leakage.
· Compact structure and flexible installation: The right-angle shape saves installation space, and the flow direction can be selected according to pipeline layout (horizontal inlet & vertical outlet or vice versa).
· Self-cleaning capability: When the valve opens, the medium flows through the valve seat area at high speed, providing certain scouring and self-cleaning effects on the sealing surface, helping maintain sealing performance.
· High temperature resistance: Angle seat valves with metal hard seals (e.g., stainless steel body + PTFE seals) can be used for high-temperature steam and other media.
· Low maintenance requirements: Relatively simple structure with few main moving parts, high durability and easy maintenance.
· Application limitations: Generally suitable for medium and low pressure conditions (e.g., below PN16), and not applicable to high-viscosity media or media containing solid particles.
