Hydrogen Generation Unit

Hydrogen Production from Natural Gas

Hydrogen production from natural gas is an industrial hydrogen production method that uses natural gas (mainly composed of methane) as raw material and converts hydrocarbons in natural gas into high-purity hydrogen through desulfurization, steam reforming, carbon monoxide shift, gas purification and other processes.

With more than ten years of experience in chemical production and R&D accumulated in the field of natural gas to hydrogen, our company can provide full-process technical solutions and units covering natural gas desulfurization, reforming, shift and purification. We own a number of core patents with leading technical strength in the industry, providing reliable equipment and technical support for the natural gas to hydrogen industry.

Product description

Hydrogen Production Technology from Natural Gas

After pressurization and desulfurization, natural gas reacts with steam in a special reformer filled with catalyst to produce reformed gas containing hydrogen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. After part of the heat is recovered by a waste heat boiler, CO in the reformed gas is converted into H₂ through shift reaction. After the shift gas is cooled, condensed and separated from gas and liquid, qualified product hydrogen is obtained through pressure swing adsorption (PSA) purification.
