PSA Nitrogen Generation Technology
Ambient air is compressed and purified (to remove oil, water and dust), then enters the PSA unit consisting of two carbon molecular sieve adsorption towers. The purified compressed air flows through the adsorption tower from bottom to top: oxygen molecules are adsorbed by the carbon molecular sieve, while nitrogen is discharged from the top of the tower and stored in the crude nitrogen buffer tank. When the carbon molecular sieve in the tower is saturated with adsorbed oxygen, the sieve is regenerated (desorbing the adsorbed oxygen) by stopping adsorption and reducing the pressure in the tower. The two adsorption towers alternately perform adsorption and regeneration to ensure continuous and stable nitrogen output.
■ Technical Features
· With a special packing technique, the service life of carbon molecular sieves can reach more than 10 years.· Pressure boosting and reduction processes are realized by new gas distributors and special control valves with a service life of up to 2 million cycles. The adoption of gas distribution technology greatly optimizes PSA efficiency and piping layout.
· Nitrogen flow is indicated by a flow meter, and purity is continuously monitored by an oxygen analyzer. If purity fails to meet customer requirements, the gas will be automatically vented to prevent unqualified gas from entering the customer’s production line.
· The use of gas distributors reduces the number of valves.
· Skid-mounted modular assembly requires no on-site installation work.
· Small footprint and short commissioning period.
· Fast start-up: product nitrogen can be supplied within 30 minutes after startup.
· High degree of automation, fully automatic unattended operation.
