PSA Recovery and Purification of CO₂

The core principle of this unit is to use specific adsorbents (such as activated carbon, zeolite molecular sieves, etc.) to selectively adsorb impurity components in the mixed gas (such as nitrogen, oxygen, methane, etc.) at high pressure, while allowing more carbon dioxide to pass through, thereby obtaining enriched CO₂ product gas. Then, the adsorbed impurities are desorbed and released by rapidly reducing the pressure to realize the regeneration of adsorbents, and the next round of adsorption is carried out cyclically.
Through the alternate operation of multiple towers and the ingenious combination of process steps, PSA can continuously produce food-grade or industrial-grade carbon dioxide with a purity of more than 99%. The whole process requires no heat source and features a high degree of automation, making it one of the key technologies for carbon capture and resource utilization.

PSA CO₂ Recovery and Purification Technology

After being washed with water to remove residual MDEA solution, the feed gas is compressed, purified and dried to remove trace organic matters such as alcohols and peculiar smells. Then, through rectification and purification, trace low-boiling gases dissolved in CO₂ are further removed to obtain high-purity industrial-grade or food-grade CO₂, which is sent to storage tanks or filled into cylinders.
