The change of oxygen concentration has a great influence on the combustion of pulverized coal. Increasing the oxygen concentration will reduce the ignition heat and ignition temperature, increase the reaction speed, increase the flame temperature and promote the combustion. At present, the world 's thermal power plant pulverized coal boiler is basically oil ignition or combustion, the annual oil consumption is huge. If oxygen-enriched air ( air with high oxygen concentration ) can be used to assist the combustion of pulverized coal and replace the ignition oil of power plant, its economic benefits will be very considerable. In this paper, different coal samples from lignite to lean coal were selected, and the oxygen-enriched combustion test of pulverized coal was carried out on the two test benches of sedimentation furnace and thermal balance. In the drop tube furnace, the ignition temperature decreases with the increase of oxygen concentration. The lean coal with low volatile content is most sensitive to the change of oxygen concentration. When the oxygen concentration increases from 16 % to 36 %, the ignition temperature decreases by 24 %, and the value decreases by 147 °C. The ignition temperature of lignite Kalena has the smallest change with oxygen concentration, only decreasing by 36 °C.However, due to its low ignition temperature, the decrease also reaches 12 %. The trend of the four bituminous coals is between lean coal and lignite. The ignition temperature decreases by about 15 %, and the value decreases by 60 ~ 100 °C.After the oxygen concentration reaches 26 %, the ignition temperature of bituminous coal decreases. By changing the concentration of pulverized coal in the settling furnace, we can find that the increase of oxygen concentration weakens the influence of pulverized coal concentration on ignition temperature. Under the same different oxygen concentration, the influence of pulverized coal fineness on ignition temperature is very small and basically similar.
